Ambulatory Practice Curriculum

Residents participate in ambulatory rotations during all three years of residency (4 weeks during the PL-1 year, 4 weeks during the PL-2 year and 8 weeks during the PL-3 year). Residents see a variety of patient visit types including well child/health maintenance visits, acute/sick visits and follow up visits for chronic medical conditions. A structured evaluation format and didactic teaching are included during ambulatory rotations. During the PL-2 and 3 years, residents participate in the telephone medicine curriculum. Quality Improvement projects are also available to residents with primary care mentorship.
